I see neither hero nor villain. I see someone who has survived a decade of attacks from some of the most powerful people on earth. I hope he'll conduct business openly, unlike what we've been enduring from the current corruption. I don't expect miracles. The Deep State is far too pervasive. At least we've staved off the end of free speech for a year or two.
The story “The Emperors New Clothes” fails to mention how the Emperor’s guards rounded up everyone who heard the child shout, and told them “this didn’t happen, right?” While casually showing off their weapons to remind the peasants that the guards were armed, and the peasants were not….
The problem with bullying people into submission that is that the Emperor's guards aren't always around. And when they're not, everybody is going to continue talking about the Emperor's naked ass. In fact, it's going to be an even bigger deal now that the guards are telling you that you shouldn't talk about it.
But that's not all. The guards are going to joke amongst themselves about the naked Emperor, and so are his vassals. Until one day the Emperor gets pushed into retirement or pushed out a window.
They worked overtime on hiding Biden's senility, but once it was out they couldn't get the genie back in the bottle. You can bury the truth for a while, but once somebody digs it up again you're going to find yourself faced with a big, ugly mess.
