This makes too much sense not to happen. In a world not governed by the old order, you'll see borders start to make more sense as cultural/economic units. Sovereignty has been a joke for a while now.
Tom did indeed call it in his latest, *The Golden Age of Trump and the American Empire*! I recommend his new book for anybody who wants a peek at what we can expect next. I read it right before it was released and this may be the best thing Tom K. has ever written.

Open Borders with Canada? No thanks. Not unless they remigrate their invaders.
"Just over 7 million people living in Canada at the time of the 2021 Census reported full- (5.5 million) or partial (1.5 million) Asian ethnicity, making it the third largest population group in Canada, following European (19.1 million) and North American (10.3 million)."
Sadly, I don't think Trump is going to be asking for our opinion. We're entering an age of Realpolitik. If a North American Union is to America's geopolitical and economic advantage, then an NAU we shall have whether we like it or not. And given his stance on green cards and H1B visas, I don't expect that Trump's going to be overly concerned about getting rid of legal Indian immigrants.
Of course. Trump is the leader of a great 'totally spontaneous' global wave of 'nationalists' whose real nation is Israel, 'Populists' whose real People are the Jews. From Milei to Meloni, they all cherish and obey Israel and the Israelites. No election will change this; the Jews won't let themselves be voted out. Probably only the fall of the West will break their power.
Trump et al. will almost certainly attack Iran, the leadership of which will not be so foolish as to not have at least dirty warheads mounted and nukes lacking only final assembly. Israel may finally get what it fucking deserves, and/or US/UK &c targets. Russia and China will not be able to sit it out; it is at least strongly in their interest to turn Iran into America's Afghanistan.
And his annex-everything could be a 'look how crazy I am' negotiating bluster to scare Canada into stronger borders and better trade terms: that's typical for him. But attacking Iran isn't: the Jews who bought him will get every Shekel's worth, or he and/or his family will get whacked.
Aspiring emperors rarely cast a vote before deciding whether or not to annex territory. I expect that we'll see the formalities of voting before a North American Union is created. I also expect that "vote" will go exactly the way the people in power want it to go. But I don't think this question will be honestly entrusted to voters on either side of the 49th Parallel.
Albertan here, I’m in. No reason to fight at all. It makes sense. We, as a province, are simultaneously plundered and strategically weakened to benefit the east (Ontario & Quebec.)
Under the US, Alberta can simply get to work and get rich.
America has never had a better time to move toward annexation than right now. If Trump doesn't act now and Canada manages to stabilize its economy before he makes the big push, we likely won't see another chance like this for generations.
Trump makes a deal with China for them to take Taiwan while giving us chips, and we pump out food and oil for them. To Russia, he offers Ukraine and the Baltics.
We get Canada, Greenland, and Mexico. Oh, and Hi Panama!
Canadians rolled over so hard on the Indians, I don't think they'll put up a fight against the US.

And, yes, I called it.

Let's hope that the Canadian people will be invited to the debate!…
